I need advice...NPR
A woman who I used to work with husband died. We had a big falling out last year and havent spoke since. We were fairly close when we worked together. She was invited too all my functions and vice versa. I still keep in touch with people I used to work with and a few of them have told me today about her husband passing.
Should I go to the wake? I feel horrible and since I am human I cant help but feel bad for her since her sister also died not even a year ago. What do you think???

Do what you feel you can handle. If going in person makes you feel uneasy, I would send something.

If the falling out was really major, I would send a mass card/sympathy card, but would not go. If you're over it but just haven't reconnected, I would go to the wake.

I would probably go.
A girl that I was childhood friends with (we lived across the street from each other and our parents still do) and I had a falling out in high school. We don't talk/hang out but have mutual friends that we pretty much get updates about each other from...her grandmother died recently and I have so many memories of her that I felt I wanted to go to the wake and she really did appreciate it.

I would go...
I had a close friend in Junior high and high school (we were CLOSE - I slept at her house all the time)
I was reading the obituaries (sp) once and read that her mom had died (I did not even know she was sick, she got cancer after HS)
I did not know whether or not to go to the wake, I was SO upset over her passing and had not spoken to the friend in like 5 years (we never had a falling out, just lost touch)
I went and was glad I did, my friend was SO happy to see me and I was able to give my condolences to her and her dad,....
