Re: I need a GOOD registry checklist. Please help me!

Here's what I did: I sat at my computer with both BRU's and BBB's registry checklists and combined them into one word document. I eliminated all the items that I knew I wouldn't bother buying and that way, the list really just includes the things I want (everything is also listed according by category). I also added a section to the list where I included items I plan on buying but not registering for like baby spoons, sippy cups, things that he won't need for a little while. I'm not putting diapers or lotions, etc on my registry either so that is listed in that part also. As I register for things, I cut/paste them into a separate section of the document so that I can keep track of what I already picked as looking at that long list is anxiety-provoking. This way, my list gets smaller and smaller and easier to handle as we pick more things.

It takes me and DH FOREVER to register because we look at everything 3 times, check out baby bargains, and then look at online ratings when we get home. Honestly, I think we delete 1/3 of the things we pick and do them over.

We are just crazy like that. It's baby #1.
