I know we have all been in this spot before
other than the 2nd tri, is there any milestone in the 1st tri when you can take a breath and know that everyting is OK? I have no reason to worry- everything is progressing perfectly, we heard the HB this week and I fele like garbage. Can you take a little breath after hearing the heartbeat? Is that one of the major milestones?

I absolutely felt a world better after seeing/hearing the HB. The odds of miscarrying after seeing the HB decrease significantly.

I felt so much better after my 12 week appt. Everytime I would go before that I got really really nervous. Thank God everything turned out okay so far.

I agree with the aove-once you hear the heartbeat the odds of miscarrying are much lower

I was so ill with MS ... doctors kept telling me nausea is a really good indicator that baby is doing just fine. I think its the only way I survived it was keeping that in mind.

Re: I know we have all been in this spot before
with every milestone I feel better and better.
First seeing the hearbeat Then the 12 week sono Then the test results. Then the Level 2
And so on...I will never feel 100% relaxed though until this little guy is in my arms!

This is exactly how I feel but I think once I hit 12 weeks I'll relax a little more than I've been. Even though we've had a bunch of great sonos, I still worry. I've never really felt 'pregnant' and that makes me nervous.

Re: I know we have all been in this spot before
Even now at 21wks and feeling Peanut move there are times I get nervous. I had a missed m/c at 10wks after seeing and hearing the hb 3 times and having all the symptoms and hyperemisis. I felt like a bit of weight was lifted after the 12wk sono, and now feeling Peanut makes me feel much better, but I don't think i'll *really* feel safe until Peanut arrives safe, and healthy
