I know it gets annoying when your DR. tells you to drink a lot of water all the time...
but DO IT!
I thought I was drinking enough water, but I guess there is never too much.
My fluid went down to 3. I was told it should be between 11-14.
They kept me on IV to hydrate me. They thought that they either were going to take the baby early or keep me there until I deliver.
The thought of being in the hosptial for 3 weeks was terrible!
I am only 35 weeks and they feel that it is too early to take her. They want to wait at least one more week if they can.
By the miracle of God, my fluid went up and they let me go home for now. I have to be checked 3 days a week andI was put on bed rest.
Ladies drink that water!!!!

Re: I know it gets annoying when your DR. tells you to drink a lot of water all the time...
oh man, I'm glad it ended up ok!!! I know water is really important -I'm addicted to it. I hope I'm getting enough though. My doctor never said HOW MUCH to drink, so I just go with what I usually have (which is usually 64 ounces a day, sometimes more, sometimes a little less). I'm just the type of person who gets dehydrated so easy so I ALWAYS keep water on me no matter where i am.
Is there a certain amount we're supposed to be getting though?

I am not sure what we should be drinking now. I know now I need to drink a gallon a day! Yikes!

Do you mind me asking how much water you were drinking before your hospital visit?
I'm very happy to hear you are home and your liquid levels went up!! Keep on drinking!

I usually drink at least 64 oz a day, and my doctor told me to try and up it to around 100 oz a day, especially when it's hot out. So I do the best I can, but I don't always reach the 100 oz a day.

I think it varied, but about 4 bottles a day. When it was hot, a bit more.
I also eat a lot of fruit and veggies ansd that has water too.
I thought it was enough.
