I just started, and...
I really don't know how much more I can do of this...
I'm just so tired of the needles, the endless doctor appointments, more needles, more hormones, more doctor appointments, hope, optimism and then crushing devastation when I get AF.
This is my first cycle with follistim and already I'm fed up, tired and I just want to quit and cut my losses.
I think the hormones are starting to affect me

I know, I have done 3 days of stims and I feel about the same way. Like PP said though we have to keep our eyes on the prize. Thats exactly what I keep telling myself too.

Believe me, I know how you feel. We almost didn't start another cycle because we're so emotionally drained already. But I wanted to try at least one more time.
Hang in there!!

Stay focused, isn't only for 2 weeks (Max). You can do it!!! The hormones are getting to you. Remember the goal. I know its tough though. You are doing great.
Here's some and that it goes fast and that you will find success at the end of this cycle.

I think the reason why I'm so down is I know I'm emotional because of the hormones - I just don't feel myself - and I was really looking forward to feeling like "me" again next week when all these injections were done and over with.
But at my appt. today my RE said she's putting me on progesterone right after the IUI's because, in her words, sometimes the ovaries get tired after all the stimming.
I've been on progesterone before - I didn't like it.
So basically that means I get NO break from all the hormones, no time to decompress and go back to my usual, positive, optimistic self.
This su!cks.
But, I'll get through it. I've been through worse

What kind of progesterone are they putting you on. Supp or POI?

Re: I just started, and...
My coverage is good so she said she's giving me something new that isn't as icky as the suppositories - is that the POI?
Last time I took the pill that you swallow, and the symptoms were just AWFUL.

The PIO is an IM injection.
PIO = Progesterone In Oil

Re: I just started, and...
I just looked at the script - she prescribed endometrin, which is a type of suppository.
Is there still leakage with this kind, even though it's a pill?

Re: I just started, and...
I just wanted to say hang in there- I am having my transfer tomorrow and I just told DH how crappy I feel from all the hormones, but the finish line is so close. I am so looking forward to a few weeks without being poked with needles...

Tell me about it. I did 2 rounds of follistim and it took a major toll on me emotionally when neither worked out. I am now on a break and actually enjoying every minute of it.
