I just lined up our first ever baby sitter!
DH and I are actually going on a date
We live out of state and never had anyone we knew and trusted who could baby sit.
One of the assistant teachers at DCs daycare just became available for babysitting (she used to have a regular gig but the family is moving, so now she has time and is up for grabs).
She is the daughter of the director at our daycare and they actually live in our community-can't get more convenient than that.
She was a floater in both Claire's room and Owen's room so the kids.
I am so excited

This weekend is kind of a test run-just a movie or a quick bite (maybe the new Robinhood?). Want to see how the kids do.
If all goes well, next week I'm taking DH out for his birthday to Ruth Chris in uptown and we are going to have COCKTAILS beforehand. I haven't had drinks before dinner since before I was pregnant with DD. Best of all-it's a surprise for DH. He has no idea I was able to snag her (we were talking about how great it would be).
Then we'll probably cool our jets for a while-I mean 2 date nights in a weeks time is exciting

To motivate me to create a date nights, I am going to buy bobcats tickets this year, random nights. Then work it from there.

That is great-then you will be committed to the date. So often we say, oh we should do XXX or XXX. But we don't make the plans so it doesn't happen.
If this works out, I'd love to see a show at Blumenthal over the summer. Wow. grown up activity with my husband. So exciting!

it is true. we always say we are going to go out and then don't.
We were so good at hitting up different restaurants in the city, we moved down here and it all stalled.
I want to see Tim McGraw this summer at Verizon. maybe that will be our big night out.
