I just found out
That my baby sister is going to be a mommy! 
She totally took me off gaurd when she told me. Although for some reason I had this feeling this week that she was pregnant. This will be the first grandbaby in our family, I honestly couldn't be happier for her. Although to see me you wouldn't think so as I've been crying for the past hour, out of pure happiness of course.
But... does it make me a bad person for feeling a little bit sad at the same time given that getting pg for us is going to be challenging?
bonnie - they've only told the family, so if you read this, please don't say anything!

That is great news for your family! No, it does not make you a bad person to feel down. It is perfectly normal. Trying to get pg is an emotional thing, so no worries! Congratulations to your sister & best of luck to you

You are completely normal. We have been ttc for over a year and I have 5 pregnant friends.
I cried a little (sometimes a lot) when I learned of their pregnancies. Wishing it were your turn doesn't take away from the joy you feel for your sister. I am truly and genuinely happy for all of my expecting friends. I know they will be great parents.
I know I am not the most understanding person when some of them drone on about the morning sickness that I would give my elbows to have and I am trying to work on that.

Congrats. that is great news.
And it is normal-we are only human to feel that twinge of jealousy. You and DH will be htere soon enough-think of your challenge as life's little hiccups :)

You are a human being with normal emotions. Anyone in your place would feel the same way. Everyone around me is pregnant or has babies, but I cant make it upset me all the time. I share in their happiness knowing it will be that much more special when it is my turn. I am sure you feel the same way.

I am so happy that you are going to be an aunt. I am going to be an aunt soon too. I am not so thrilled, but I am working on it. My issue is more about my sister's age than actually being an aunt.

Michelle, I am soo excited for your sister!!! MAZAL TOV!! So you didnt know they were TTC? when is she due?
I think what you are feeling is completely normal if my sis got preggos before me, i would have def been happy but theirs also that feeling you get of when is it going to be my turn, yours will happen soon, I just know it!!

I have one aunt I've always called tanta! DH's nephews call me Doda Michelle.
I'm so thrilled for my sister I really am.
Unfortunately, I've spent most of today crying, and I feel like a horrible person for it.

Congrats! Please don't beat yourself up for the tears - you're human. You're not a horrible person - if you are, we all are, because god knows we've all probably been there.

You are going through your own emotions with trying to conceive...so it's only natural to be a tiny bit sad or even a whole lot resentful that someone else is pregnant. As long as you see the joy in it and aren't dwelling solely on "poor pitiful me" I think you are well within reason to be "sad."
