I have my 16 week blood test app't tonight.
Excited to get back to the doctor, even though no sono.
What else do they do at this app't? I was pregnant with DS no. 1 so long ago...i don't remember.

Is this for the quadscreen? I think it's also called the afp or something like that?
If so, I had it at 16 weeks and it was literally just a bloodtest. My regular monthly appointment was the week before so I didn't even see my OB. Just bloodwork and on my way.
At my 15 week appointment, she used the doppler and a quick sono. Weight check and pee. That was it. You know, the usual.

Yes, its called the afp....i hope they at least try to hear the baby's hearbeat!
I don't care if i don't see doctor, it means i'll get out faster!

I was surprised but at my 16 week appt I got a sono, A finger stick for the afp test. Then the dr came in the room for a few seconds, checked heartbeat and asked if i had any questions.

That's what I got as well. It was a regular appt and they took blood at the end.
