I Have an irrational fear, please tell me I'm nuts and all is good!
Hi Ladies
So just joined the gym and I am scared to go! I feel like such a big baby, i think it has to do with the fact that I am unfamiliar with the layout, machines and everything else about the gym. I'm afraid i am going to look like a fool!
Please talk me off the ledge!

I would feel the same way  Does your gym offer a friends pass? If so maybe you can bring a friend for the 1st day or two so you wont feel so nervous. If not then suck it up and go, don't flush the money your paying for the gym down the toilet

I felt the same way!  I asked DH to come with me a few times until I got comfortable.

I would go and hit the cardio machines right away. Then you can scope everything out from there. Did no one show you around when you joined?

I joined through my job so I signed up at the location in NYC but will be going to the club by my house on the island and havent gone yet.

Honestly I am sure that no one gives a hoot whether you're a gym pro or not...it's just not something people concern themselves with. Just being honest

I felt the same way. Now I feel more confident at the gym and I can see newbies.
What do I think of them?

My brother went with me last night and he took the time to show me all the machines and the proper way to use them. He was a rockstar!!
