I have an akward question...can you help? UPDATED
Ok so all day I have been having contraction like pain, but it doesn't feel like contractions. The upper part of my belly gets rock hard and it takes my breath away. It has an intensity feeling and then goes away, but my normal contractions are my whole belly is hard. I knwo he is really high and breech so could it just be him moving? It's sorta freaking me out because it's happening more and more despit rest and fluid. It's getting really uncomfortable and is taking my breath away and now my shoulder blades are hurting. It feels like my skin and muscles are being pulled form my shoulderblades around my belly and out the front of me...does that make sense? What could it be? DOes it sound like another kind of contraction?

i don't know about the shoulder blades but everything else you describe sounds like the contractions i've been experiencing for the past 6 weeks, which i was told are "not labor contractions" - the word braxton-hicks wasn't used, but i'm assuming that's what it is... ?

Definitely sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. If you're concerned or in pain though, I would definitely call your OB. BH shouldn't be painful and they should go away with a change in position and lots of fluids.

SO called the OB answering service and we just got home form L&D
I have gallstones I had them with Emmy too, but these are worse. They gave me some vicodin to take as needed and phenergan for the n/v. There is nothing they can do until after the baby. With Em it also started in the early 3rd trimester so I guess it's a pg thing for me. I have to go on a "gallbladder diet" So low salt and fat. This suckss. It was contractions I was feeling as well, but not any that changed my cervix so YAY I have to rest and take it esy for the next few days and see how I do. Urghhhhhh I swear this is the last baby this body is making!

Why didnt they remove your gallbladder after the first baby? I only ask because I had gallstones after my first baby and was told they would never go away so I had my gallbladder removed so not to have any other trouble during future pregnancies. Stay away from greasy fatty foods too, that always upset me. So sorry you have to deal with this.

I did see a surgeon after Em, but they said since my symptoms went right away they weren't going to worry about it and said it was the pg making it worse. I was skeptical, but went with it. I already talked to a surgeon today and they are getting my records so after he comes i'll have it removed sometime next spring. It's just so frustrating.
