I have a plan now
I went to my first RE appt. today, I broke down in the office before the dr. even began talking, but we have a plan of action. DH and I got bloodwork done, I think it was pre TTC bloodwork, and some genetic stuff and other hormonal stuff for me. Since I am midcycle I have to call them on CD 1 to schedule CD 3 bloodwork and sono, then between CD 5-10 I am going to get an HSG and my follow up will be a few days after the HSG to go over all of the test results. And DH is getting a SA done on Wednesday. My regular Dr. had me do a cycle of clomid while waiting for this appt. so I am praying that it might have worked, and I won't have to go through all of this, but I had a temp drop this morning Anyway besides being completely freaked out, I am kinda excited to get started!

Everything your RE is recommending in an initial appointment sounds like the typical work up. Best of luck on your journey and hopefully it's a short one.
