I hate this toy!!
Who's with me? This toy is the worst toy ever! It is obscenely loud! I can't even hear myself think over the noise this thing makes!

Cailen loves it too - I feel bad I don't play it enough with him because everytime I do he laughs and claps his hands!!!
DS loves it to, but it eventually gets on my nerves. So I rotate it. I leave it out for a week, then put it away for 3 weeks.

i had this toy as a child and i remember how much i loved it. the faster you ran the faster the sound went.. i think i will let my dd have even tho it could be annoying just b/c oh how much i did enjoy it.

For me, the "evil dog" turns on all by itself at all hours of the day. In the middle of the night, you'll hear a stranger's voice in DC's bedroom over the monitor... 
No volume control. I found it fairly repetitive. It was mainly the sensitivity, though. Just walking past it would set it off. Sometimes it seemed that nothing going on would still set it off.
