I hate NYC shopping...and getting around!
Sometimes I wish I lived on LI and had a car again. It's so frustrating living in NYC sometimes when you have a few errands and things to look for.
I want to go to the cleaners 83rd/2nd, then DSW (union square)...then Bloomies (59th/lex)...then Sharper Image (60's/Madison)...Petco (86th/lex)....Duane Reade (81st/2nd)...then to the gym by 5:45 (85th/3rd)
What if I can't find what I need at these places....ughh what a PITA!! I took today off to get this done! I Guess I better get going!

I thought that also- till I moved back to long island
my life was so much easy in the city with no car- I miss walking , jumping in a cab or taking the subway
I used to drop the dry cleaning off on my way to work- then they would deliver it back- now it sits there for 2 weeks and I realize that Jake is running out of shirts
my Bank was on my way to walk- so I would just stop in- now I have 5 checks in purse and I can't find time to depoist them
those are just 2 examples of things I miss about the city- and bloomies- it just isn't the same out here!

OK, as a fellow NYC girl- I hear your pain. But I am a wiz at dealing with this.
So here is the plan. Walk to the drycleaner. Hop onto teh 4/5 to Union Square. Can you go to Bloomies in Soho? N/R to Prince.
If not, go to Bloomies before DSW 4/5 to 59th St. Then you can walk to Sharper Image. Take the N/R from 60th and 5th to union square and go to DSW. From there you can take the 4/5 back to 86th and lex adn run your local errends.
Ta da!
ETA: I am running to Bloomies too durign lunch. Maybe I'll see you there

your good- I used to plan out everything like that also when I lived there- you have too- I think it would have annoyed me more if I didn't live in midtown- but since I was so centrally located- it wasn't so bad

Ok, so Im home! Whew!
Went to cleaners, got jeans hemmed.
Then to DSW...got loafer type shoes.
Then to Blommies...got earings, sweater and gift for my aunt and uncle. 15% WHEN YOU USE YOUR CARD!!! I did well here!
Then to GAP...gift for baby cousin
Then to Petco...Chloe some food and treats.
Didnt need to go to sharper image...got stuff at bloomies and Duane reade a little later...was carrying too much stuff! And it's only 2:30
