I hate hanging things.

I really do. Anyone else? It drives me up a wall, trying to figure out the exact spot, maying sure things are lined up correctly, etc. Nothing frustrates me more!

i feel the same way. i hate the idea of messing up the wall if it does not work out right!

The worst is when the picture has two hooks and they're like 1/8 inch off. Or when you're trying to hang two identical size pictures side by side. We moved into our house 3 months ago and so far we've only hung 5 things. I dread hanging the rest.

I lived in my last house for 2 years and only had 2 pictures hung

I'm the same way!!! And some how, no matter how hard I try, it never hangs exactly the way I want it too!

DH has never hit a stud...even when he's using a stud finder.

So this drives me bonkers bc he insists on being the one to hang everything.

This is why nothing is hung up in my house... I keep waiting for DH to do it.

DH hangs everything. He grabs his tape measure, stud finder, and level and does it as perfectly as possible.

I am the same, but now I cheat a bit --

I trace whatever it is I will be hanging onto a sheet of newspaper and cut it out, and make a tiny hole where the hook is.

Then I tape the newspaper to the wall and move things around until I like exactly where it is placed, then hammer the nail right through the hole I made in the paper.

I create far fewer "oops" holes since using this method!!

I've become very good at this.

I have a stud finder, one of those levelers that attach to the wall with the laser light, a regular level, and it makes it alot easier.

If I'm doing alot of pictures, I arrange them on a solid color sheet on the floor and move stuff around.
