I agree completely...kids want to mimick what they see other kids doing..my dd has learned alot from other kids

I feel the same about Jay who is just a few weeks older than Cailen. Nate had a speech delay and had therapy for almost 2 yrs. We really weren't expecting Jay to speak as well as he does now. He has such a great vocabulary and can clearly articulate his thoughts. I love listening to the conversations he has with Nate. They are hilarious.

Billy was born a little earlier - March - but he does the same and I actually thought he was behind of not "normal"
But I think that way because Genevieve was talking full sentences at a year

DD just turned 2 and I am having full conversations with her as well. All 3 of mine were fully conversational by 2, so I would say its pretty normal.

I agree, and it goes both ways. Bella was speaking fine one day regarding past tense and then started saying played-ded and sleep-ded, the teachers says they mimic what the others do, right or wrong...we have be reinforcing the correct way and she is getting better with that again.
it's also us mom's being so awesome that our kid's will rule the world one day
