I got such an amazing surprise tonight!
I have a 6.5 year old DD and I am her troops Girl Scout Leader -- it is our 2nd year together as a GS troop and I just love our group of girls.
Well, tonight was our regularly scheduled meeting and I was so frazzled all day --- running around all crazy...getting things ready for tonight...
And I walk into my meeting room (10 minutes early!) and they had it all set up with a HUGE baby shower for me and also for my daughter Emily!
I couldn't believe it all! They really went all out! Not only did everyone get me gifts from my registry (no wonder there were so many missing things that I was so boggled over!) but they really went above and beyond.
My co-leader printed out the picture that is my avatar from facebook and put it in a pictureframe and all of the girls signed the frame matte.
She made up a baby photo album and the first 10 pages are drawings that the girls made, predicting if the baby will be a boy or a girl, what they think we should name the baby (complete in their 1st grade inventive spelling like Briyin (Brian) and Alisibith (Elizabeth) and a drawing of what the baby looks like.
They played BINGO and the girls crossed off gifts while I opened them, which was so cute to see them reading things and then being like "What is a BOOGIE sucker? What is BUTT PASTE???"
My coleader even had each girl unwrap a diaper that had melted tootsie rolls in it... you should have seen all of their faces, they thought it was p00p for real!
I am feeling so overwhelmingly grateful! We have so many amazing, caring, and giving people in our life and I was not expecting this at all!
My BIL texted my DH tonight and asked what we still need for the baby, since they wanted to get us a gift. My DH's reply to them was "Um, the baby!" because we have been showered with everything you could possibly imagine for this baby on the way!

That is so wonderful!! I remember reading your post about things taken off your registry that you didn't receive. Well I guess you know now where those missing items are. LOL!!
