I finally got a Volkswagen Beetle -
Its a 1966 Sedan
Blue with Cream interior
Here are some pictures:
Keep hitting next to see more pics
It needs a little work but it runs great
I have to detail it....

It's beautiful-- looks in GREAT condition!!
DH owns a Car Wash if you want information on a detail FM me and I'll let you know all about it.
DH's Car Wash was voted #1 on Long Island five years in a row and it's known for it's detailing- people drive over an hour to get their cars detailed by us.
I was a customer before I met him too lol so I was always a fan!

Didnt name her yet - Still have to get to know her lol.
Funny story about the last owner. I was test driving the car on saturday around levittown, and I ask the seller if he has a name for the car, and he says no. I said how about Betsy. He says what? And I said how about Betsy. He says thats my wifes name......I said no way. Weird. Then latere on I was telling my friend about the car and he asked if the car had a name, and I was just about to tell him the story and he said I bet it is Betsy. I swear I almost fell off the chair. Very weird.

great car Scott!! glad you found one! My first beetle was light blue aka "The blue hornet". I had a beautiful red convertible that my dad bought for like $400 at the time. It was an UGLY pale yellow and he had it restored. I only had it one summer until it was sold and shipped to Germany. Never did name it.

bummer - the convertible in restored shape is worth between $15k and $20k now. If it is a numbers matching car.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this car as a 6.
After I get it registered and insured, the car will be going to the VW repair shop in Massapequa to get the "minor" repairs fixed.
I ordered a bunch of stuff for the car including seatbelts. In 1966, the car didnt come with them. So I ordered shoulder belts.

Thanks - found out the headlights arent original. I want to find the original ones...ant then get the eye lids for them
Makes the car look sleepy - like its owner.
