I fell down a flight of stairs yesterday...
it was literately the scariest day (other than going through 911) of my life.
We are completely swamped at work, and I ran out of the building to get lunch around 2pm, I guess I was in too much a hurry, tripped and fell down a whole flight of stairs, landed on my butt. Was in some pain, took me a while to get myself up. I was by myself, nobody saw me (at that time I was glad nobody saw me, because I was very embarrassed).
Managed to walk back to walk, the whole way I kept on telling  to please kick for mommy.
When I got back to my office, I told my colleagues what happened and broke down, they told me to call my doctor, and I did, the nurse practitioner I spoke to told me to go to the hospital immediately. Everything was a blur, but I remember the EMS came, wheeled me out in a stretch, I was completely strapped down (with a neck brace) and to the hospital I went in an ambulance. That was my first time ever in an ambulance, and I would never want to be in there again.
After 9 hours at Bellevue hospital in NYC (i work on wall street, but not sure why they took me to Bellevue) and many invasive exams later, they ruled out any complications with the baby.
The whole time I kept on thinking what if I had hurt my baby, I could NEVER forgive myself.
My body feels like I've been hit by a truck today, but DD is kicking and moving all over the place. As long as she's ok, all other pains I am feeling will heal.
Ladies, please please please be careful! Learn from my mistakes

 Sorry, glad to hear all is well with you and baby!
I fell down the stairs last week taking out the garbage.. so I know exactly how you feel. It really is scarey!!!

 Glad everything is okay with the baby and you!
I fell and sprained my foot and broke 2 toes when I was 15 weeks. I'm always afraid of falling because my balance is so off.

oh what a scary experinece for you!! I hope you are feeling better. I totally wiped out the other day taking one of teh dogs out. I tripped over a stick and landed on my hands and knees. I panicked for a while and then started kicking me like "what the heck mom, you woke me up".
Its scary because I've notice that week by week I become more and more off balanced and centered.
Hope you are resting today!

How scary! I had a very minor fall at 20 weeks and I was scared. Thank goodness all is ok!!!

So glad to hear everything is okay. Get plenty of rest! Your whole balance is out when you are pregnant - I tripped a few times with DD - but falling down a flight of stairs is terrifying enough nevermind doing it while being pregnant.

glad you are both okay!! I fell down recently at work too and they called the paramedics I was mortified! But all is well!
Hope the bruising you feel goes away soon! I remember I was sore for a few days.

I hope you feel better !! Your balance is going to be off !! When I was 8mnths pregnant with dd#2 I fell down wooden steps outside and landed on the corner of one of them and broke my tailbone
