I feel so guilty!
94.3 has somoene from the Suffolk County SPCA on this morning discussing the resuce of the 56 dogs. Toward the end of the interview he was talking about donations and how people can give. He mentioned that a lot of Suffolk County residents donate to the ASPCA (which is a completely diff organization)
I always donate to the ASPCA and have never donated to the Suffolk SPCA. ALthough the money is still going to a good cause , I would also like to support my local animal rescue. I just felt so horrible.
I am going on their website right now to donate!

I heard that also.
I always assumed they were all affiliated.

I thought the dogs were being taken to the Town of Huntington Animal Shelter. That's what i was trying to find. So if they are at TOH Animal Shelter, does sending the donation to the SC SPCA help them out as well? I guess I am a bit confused and really want to send it to help these rescued dogs.

Hmmm I am really not sure. The person from the SPCA kept stating "we received over 1000 calls" and "when WE took the dogs" so I assumed they were heavily involved. 
eta - i didnt hear the very beginning of the interview so maybe he did say where the dogs were There is a link to the interview on the WMJC website
