I feel like the grumpiest teacher EVER!!!
I got another kid today, making it 28 first graders! So it's really hard to get a new kid together, but then one kid was off the wall in terms of crawling on the floor, rolling his water bottle across the desk, knocking over his chair, whistling, and the others yak and yak. I'm hoping it was the day and not a sign of days to come!

Honestly, with the past two days off, there was something in the air at school today. NONE of the kids had their act together. I wouldn't expect things to be back to normal until the 17th when these wacky weeks are over!

Oh my! I have 15 first graders and that is MORE than enough ... I can't imagine 28! Isn't there some LAW against that or something!?

I teach early chilhood and I cant stress how stressful today was! They are 3 & 4 years old!

Thanks Christy! It is a lot and I feel like I really shouldn't complain because this is a good school and we are really lucky in lots of ways but still, 28 6 year olds! !

28 first graders is way, way too many.
I feel lucky this year because I only have 31 sixth graders- the last time I taught sixth grade I had 37.
