I don't understand what Kosher means

when it comes to my Shaklee cleaning products. I noticed almost all of my cleaning products have the kosher simple on them. What does it mean?

Well with food kosher means pretty much all natural. Like meat, the animal was not given anything to make it grow and it wasn't killed in a painfull manner. And there was no chemicals put on anything.

Re: I don't understand what Kosher means

For those who are strict adherents to the laws of Kashrut, all products brought into the home must be certified as Kosher. Some of Shaklee's vitamin products had been produced with gelatin which is not kosher because it CAN be made from swine. I would imagine that their plants would have to be under strict rabinnical supervision so that those people who keep kosher and use their products can bring ANY of them into their home. Soaps and shampoos included.

You can sort of liken it to candy that is processed in a plant that makes candy with peanuts. You wouldn't want it in your home at all.

The way an animal is slaughtered and blessed can make it kosher. Certain animals are NEVER kosher such as a pig. Certain cuts of meat from cows are never kosher and are found at the back end of a cow. Filet mignon is not kosher.
