I don't recognize myself lately........
I started the pill a week ago and I noticed my mood (and attitude!!  ) has progressively gotten worse and worse.
I went throughout my day today mad at literally EVERYONE I crossed paths with. I snapped at people for stupid reasons ... flipped out on things that I normally couldn't care less about ... I hate feeling like a different person on the pill.
I came home today in such a rage to the point where I took a step back and realized I was being RIDICULOUS throwing my hands up at someone in a parking lot who was actually LETTING ME GO AHEAD OF HER!!  After a day of being out of control from start to finish, I realized this just not me.
I came home and instead of saying hi to the kitties and relaxing in front of the TV, I went on a huge cleaning rampage and wiped down my kitchen counters.. threw some towels in the laundry.. attempted to clean the downstairs bathroom .. and then I realized I've lost my mind... This just isn't me.
As much as I'm NOT excited to have the stress of my next IVF cycle hanging over me, I also can't wait to just be off the pill.
I feel like a monster.

All I can offer you is hugs. You have been through a lot. You deserve the right to be mad, annoyed and angry! Plus, with the pill your hormones are all over the place! They are powerful things! But, at least with this cycle you are closer to SUMMER and relaxing with some time off!

when i get like this........... i almost have to FORCE myself to chill the f out...
as in......... take an hour bath.....lay in my bed eyes closed for a long time breathing........ get a pedi or mani................ or literally sit in my car singing/screaming....
i am not on the pill, but i swear hormones make me the same way some days!!!!!!!! i hate the feeling and then i hate myself kwim?
i hope you feel much better soon!

I'm sorry the pill is making you feel that way. Hormones definitely do that to me too. Sometimes I can't believe how crazy irritated I can get! Soon you will be off of the BCP, until then can you come clean my house?!

I think we spoke about this, but I am a HORRIBLE person when I"m on BCP. It really scares and upsets me and I try to warn everyone close to me about it. I try to just keep my mouth shut for the most part. DH has said I'm "quiet" and keeps asking what's wrong and I tell him that I'm just trying not to flip out on everyone for everything.

I haven't taken birth control so I don't know what it feels like but with all the hormones on top of the stress and anxiety that you are under, I think its totally natural to be upset! Hopefully the kittens will cheer mommy up tonight :)

I say you're allowed to feel however you want to feel, bad mood, attitude and all. You're allowed to feel this until you realize it's not who you want to be. When you feel like you're loosing control, hormones, stress, your previous experiences, take a step back and breathe. Seriously breathe in and out. You will calm yourself down, back to reality and back where you want to be.

ITA with this. Also, I would mention it to your dr. There was one brand of bcps a couple of years ago that made me SO jittery, anxious, and downright moody/nasty. I mentioned it to the office and the next time I needed them they switched me and it helped tremendously. HTH!

Thanks, that's a good idea, but I figure this will hopefully be just another 2 weeks or so ... and I  there is never a next time but if there is, I'm def switching!!

I was on the same one and it made me a total raving &itch (as my DH so affectionatly called me ) I actually remember posting about it. It is NOT you, its the drugs. I would talk to your doctor about it...make sure its noted in your chart.

I seriously didn't want to be around myself. I wished I could have locked myself in a room somewhere and walk far away for a few hours.
That's when I decided to take a nap.
I will def be telling Dr.B about this .. for his sake, I hope I adjust to this pill so I'm not a lunatic at my appointment!

Ya know.. my response to that was going to be ........... "Well what's my excuse the rest of the year? "
but then I realized the majority of my year is spent on some kind of pill or inject.. or pregnancy. . Good times 
I don't know how I spent 10 years on that stupid pill. I also met my DH while I was taking it. That's how I know he REALLY loves me It wasn't this same pill though.. it was a lower dose one which dr b says wouldn't be sufficient now.
