I don't believe this

AF wasn't even due for 4 or 5 more days but I guess she didn't want to miss Christmas because she showed up today just as we were heading out to visit DHs family
So needless to say that put a damper on my mood today but I think I did a good job of acting normal in front of dh's family. I had to bite my tongue to keep from crying when DHs grandmother said something about how excited she is to have greatgrandkids someday

ETA: I'm only 9dpo. Should I be concerned? I think I read somewhere that the LP should be at least 12 days. This is our 4th month ttc and it was my first month temping so its the first month that I actually know when I Od.

I understand where you are coming from. I had a similar experience. AF came on Friday (2 days early) and I really thought this was the month. Plus my mom and MIL were talking about it all day Let's hope that January is our month.

I don't think I'd be concerned unless you consistantly get AF 8 or 9 DPO. I track on fertility friend and I have had 1 month where my LP was only 9 days.

My cycle was teh same way, i was on 6or 7 dpo and i got my period.. following month i got my bfp- you never know, maybe this was a good thing for something better to come your way...good luck..
