I did it..

I finally made the decision to call & make an appt with Dr. B.
My appt is 11/30 & I am SO nervous.
Can any Dr. B patients tell me what to expect from the consult?

congratulations!!
you will not be disapointed!!

first be prepared, he usually dresses down. didn't bother me. I prefer to not have the typical dr.

anyway they will mail you a packet of information. take your time and complete it.

when you go they collect that packet. you wait in the waiting room for a little bit while he review's the packet of information. then you go in and you both talk about the information in the packet.

you also talk about other issues, he asks questions. you can ask questions.

then he sits back.... takes it all in... looks at the information infront of him... you can see his brain ticking. then he formulates a game plan with options. sends you scrips for appropriate testing, etc.

the office will call you with the results. you also have access to dr b via email at all times and he does respond.

his office was always super sweet, friendly, and helpful.

once you get pregnant, he sends you for multiple beta tests. he puts you on whatever meds he deems necessary based on your test results.
4 weeks after your BFP he starts with weekly sono's until you "graduate" at around 8 weeks I believe.

I don't want to leave him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm dr shopping now, and i"m so sad to leave him.

He's really a good dr. Even though all I did was go for a consult and then got pregnant naturally... I feel really comfortable knowing that he is looking out for me. Not at all like my other dr last time I was pregnant.

DH LOVES him too!! I was able to ask him whatever dumb questions I could think of. he always gave me informative and thorough answers. And he has some personality.. he is able to joke a bit to lighten the mood. He is very comforting and keeps reminding me that things I'm worried about are "normal" and not to be worried.

sorry.. I kept trying to end it and I kept thinking of more to write!!!

I know you & I had FM eachother re Dr. B a month or so ago. It was b/c of all the things you had written me that I came to the decision about going to him.
DH is coming with me and is looking forward to the necessary steps.
It has only been 6-7 months that we have been TTC but I do have some pre-existing conditions that I feel might be preventing me from becoming preg.
