I am so numb right now..
Just found we are not candidates for IUI. We have to do IVF w / ICSI. I have PCOS and my DH has low motility. We have NO coverage for IVF.

The nurse mentioned it to me....I don't know, how do we qualify? We have an appt on Monday.....

Jen - I'm so sorry to hear this! NJ may have a grant program. I actually have the finanical stuff from RMA. Did they give you anything at your intial visit? There's some things in there regarding IVF w/no insurance.

Yep I have that but of course I did not look at it bc I never in a million years thought I would have to....   I think they even do financing...which sounds weird...but....

They have a program, where you pay a certain amount of $$ up front for X number of IVF attempts. One of the programs says something along the lines of if IVF doesn't work you can receive a large refund...not that you want to think that way of course....

I would definitely look into grants. You can also ask your RE office about payment plans, most of them should be able to work with you.

I'm sorry...this is a time to either look into the grant, getting a loan or look to change employers for better insurance.
We tried the first two, then DH ended up getting a job with better insurance that covered IVF.

We didnt either and felt the same way. We found that if their is a will theres a way and we were willing to do anything to get the money. We signed up for the NYS infertilty grant, was approved and borrowed teh rest from a 401K plan.
It can be done. It just takes time to figure out how.
Please dont give up if you want to go through with it.
