I am so annoyed, my dermatologist's visit today
So today I went to see a dermatologist who was recommended by few people. I hated him. Mainly I went b/c of milia I got under my eyes when I was prego, (it's gotten much much better since I had a baby and I can barely see them but I still wanted them removed).
I told the doc about the milia, he looked and said he was going to remove them but first he did a body check, it took him 2 secs to give me a FULL BODY CHECK didn't check my hands or feet and didn't check my scalp, I just got an impression that he was really rushing. Then he looked at my under eye skin again and he said that he was NOT going to remove milia after all , b/c it would leave a mark and it's better to let it go away by itself.
I am really annoyed,b/c I went to see him all the way to Manhattan and I felt like he was really rushing and didn't do a proper job at all.
Sorry , just had to vent , I am really annoyed .

I would definitely have been annoyed if he was rushing you-I hate that

so weird i literally just came back from my dermotologist for a body check!
he spent about 5 minutes checking me and my scalp.
he invented a machine that scans you and he suggested that i should do a scan, even though he found nothing suspicious.
eta- my faciualist removed my milia-
i have a few little white bumps near my eyes- she got rid of them
anyway, you should go to another doctor.

I was going to someone here in Queens, actually she was the one who said that I could have the milia removed ( I didn't know ) I just didn't do it then b/c I was there with DD and had no time. her hrs are really bad and that's why I went to someone else , plus he was highly recommended by few people on here. I guess I will have to find someone else here or stick with this doc and work out the hrs.

who did you go to/ where is this doc? and when you had the white bumps removed did you get any marks or scars from it?

i don't know about the body check.. i had one recently, too and it went MUCH faster than i expected it to, too. i think they just get really good at knowing what to look for. they actually found a couple spots that they took off to biopsy, and it turns out they were precancerous cells so i actualy have to go back and get more skin removed from around them.
not sure about the milia, though- no experience with that, sorry!  that you find a doctor you're happy with!
