I am home and I'm a Mommy!!!
My son Christopher Louis was born in Wed night. He was a whopping 8lbs 7ozs!
Here is a short summary of my birth story:
Wed morning at around 5:30am I went to the bathroom and noticed I was leaking. It wasn't a big gush but since I was group B positive I was worried. I called the doc at 6:00am and she said got the hospital. Got to hospital and was put in the labor room. I was not having contractions and they did a test on my leakage and said it wasn't amnotic fluid however they would do the stress test anyway. During the test my water broke on its own and I started to have contractions. The nurse said they were only early labor but they hurt like heck so she said she would get me the epidural fast. Once I got the epidural it was great. I was up to 6cm and then it started to wear off. I got anothe boost but the doc was worried I wasn't progressing anymore and also I was running a fever. She said I could go another hour. After the hour I was still at 6, temp was higher and he had some swelling on his head which made her think that he was trying to get through but couldn't fit. So I said take me for the c-section. I definitley needed it since he was so big. Recovery is hard but it is all worth it when I see his adorable little face. Image Attachment(s):

Dr Meyer was there through the entire labor however her shift was over 1 hr before I decided to go w/ the c-sec so Dr. Abbatista did it. She was great.

Congratulations Carmen!!
You were on my mind today (I got the Lamaze DVD back in the mail .. TY!) and I was hoping by now you'd had your son... so happy to hear that all went OK and that you are both doing good  Dr. Abbatista delivered Niko and she was wonderful.. I'm glad your experience with her went well also!
Christopher is just adorable!!!
I'm so happy for you!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  He is beautiful and quite alert!!!!! 
That was the blanket we brought DS home in too!!!!  Now we have a long offseason to get to know our little men!!!
