I am having a hard time now...

I need to just blow off some steam and since you are all so wonderful I am going to ramble. I am soooo stressed. I cant sleep. I am going day to day not knowing if Suozzi is going to take my job away from me. I have had these headaches everyday and nothing seems to help. My parents moved in November out of state and I miss them sooo much. When I would have a bad day I would go sit and talk to my mom for hours. My brother owes me alot of money and is not talking to me since he owes me money. It is tearing me apart. To top it all off I am on CD11 and AF is still here. I worry if I get pregnant and then loose my job what will we do. I have the benefits and make the most money. But I feel at other times a baby may help me feel better. I just am so lost. I am sorry for this long post but I just needed to get it all out.

I am so sorry you are having a rough time. I hope everything works out for you. We are always ready to listen when someone needs to vent so vent away.

Just like you cannot plan your life arounf "If" you are PG, you can't walk on egg shells "just in case" you lose your job, prepare, yes!
I'll tell yu what someone once told me "There is never the "right" time to have a baby. It's just the "right" feeling. If you do get PG and you do lose your job, you and yur DH will figure something out.

A friend of mine last year got PG and 3-4 months in, they laid her off. And you figure things out, wear a sweater instead of turn the heat up, get the minimum from cable, drop the internet, etc

Make yourself a cup of chamolie tea or a warm glass of milk, find your favorite PJs and call your mom. It's not the same *** a face to face talk, but I know for me (my dad moved in Oct) I call him when I miss him and we fall right into one of old convos and it's kinda like he never left.

Good Luck working things out with your brother (I know the feeling) maybe you can reach out and let him know that him being in your life is more improtant than the debt?

These are very hard times for everyone and we can't let them get the better of us (easier said then done). But try and think of the good things in your life.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with all this stress right now!!! its probably messing with your cycle too. from my experience of getting laid off, I was SO scared to get pregnant and be out of work, afraid no one would hire me or I'd feel guilty if I was pregnant and didn't tell a potential employer......but when I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks after being laid off it felt like the biggest blessing EVER!! both DH & I were so thrilled, financial concerns were in the back of our mind....everything just felt right like it was supposed to be happening and all the timing was working out. Of course with the miscarriage, my thought process has changed all over again, but my point is, as nervous as you are about it, embrace it, once you are pregnant your priorities will completely change and everything will feel right! I also hope the situation with your brother improves, I know what a strain family stress can put on you!!

ETA- getting laid off in some ways is saving us money......DH & I sat down and went over our budget and found ways to save money- we're in the midst of refinancing which will save us $500 per month and we're changing from Time Warner to DirectTv, that's going to save us about $50 per month (we're doing the triple play package)......now is the best time to get your money situation in order so you don't panic if you get laid off later on, try as best you can to put some savings to the side, it will give you some peace of mind.

Cathleen, I am so sorry that you are going through all of this-it is especially tough when your family is not around! I am going to say prayers for you that everything works out for the best! You deserve it!

I'm sorry for crashing...

We were TTC for 7 months with a m/c thrown in there. When I did finally get pregnant, it was looking like a great time since DH was up for a promotion & two potential raises before the baby would be due. When I was 19 weeks along, just days before DH was supposed to find out about the promotion, his company found out they were in legal trouble, lost a few clients & were forced to lay off a very large chunk of their employees who had worked for those clients. DH was one of them. It was all sudden. Nobody knew it was coming at all. So there I was finally pregnant & DH with no job. It was awful. But let me tell you, it's all working out so far. DH found another job with a better company & things are starting to look hopeful again.

Basically, I'm trying to point out that there is no perfect time. Anything can happen. Just prepare yourselves as best you can in case you should lose your job. Good luck!
