if I have a 7:15 am flight - what time do I need to be at the airport

And what day are you leaving?
edited to say- on a highly traveled day like a weekend or Friday i would say at least 6 if not 5.30.

and dont ask my jackie what time to be at the airport! when i was at the gate she was only leaving dix hills (at my bach party) and we almost missed the flight! LOL

Be there by 6-not much later. If it's JFK I would leave your house around 5:40 the latest. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes at that hr to go to the airport from Long Beach.

That is perfect...I am actually flying Jet Blue on the 25th & have a 9:30 flight...DH is dropping me off on his way to work, so I should be there by 7:30ish

that time is fine, you can always take the lirr to the jamaica station and take the air train from there.

I agree. If you get there at 5:30, you'll be there in plenty of time.
I forget....can you pre-board at home? (I.E. print your boarding pass at home) If so, then even 6:00 would be fine if you aren't checking any luggage.
