Maybe/Probably.
My doctor said hair can be colored after week 12. I won't be though... just using veggie color, I'm too worried.

My doctor said it was perfectly okay, since it does'nt touch your scalp. I would avoid it if smells bother you- or try to get one of the first appointments of the day .

You will find there are many different opinions on this subject. What I've been told is that highlights are ok, because they don't touch the scalp like regular coloring does. But the jury is still out on whether or not even regular coloring has any affect on the fetus either.. 
I erred on the side of caution and waited until I was out of the 1st trimester before I did any coloring/highlighting to my hair. You are pretty close to the end of your first tri, that it shouldn't be an issue

after my 1st tri i went to have my hilights done. have had them done 2x since. my dr said its all fine... no worries!

I am 13 weeks and plan to do it nect week. My doc said it was fine. I would wait until week 13 at least though

I got mine done at 5 weeks with Jeremy and 6 weeks with this baby. My girl uses veggie dye and it doesnt touch the scalp. Doc said it's ok

My doctor said it was fine to color my hair - I did it yesterday all the way to my roots - so it touched my scalp....

hi,
I am a beautician and pregnant.
Highlighting does not touch the scalp.
I would sit by a window if fumes are bothersome which they shouldn't be.
Tell your hairdresser, some bleaches hair highlig are more potent then others/.
Dying hair is relatively safe too. The only dye that was not safe back in the day was black and that is no longer the case.
To be completely safe,..a rinse does not stay on long and is fine, as hennas and other natural means are ok.
Ii get my hightlighted also.
Just make sure dryer is not too hot

Too many opinions on this topic.
I was in a wedding party at 5 months so I did very light highlights so my hair wouldnt look like 2 different colors...now at 7.5 months I have half brown/ half blonde...LOL Its really not that bad but I wish I could dye it!
