I a so disgusted with my dentist...(VENT)

My husband was on his way to the dentist this morning and he was running five minutes late. So, as a courtesy I called to let them know. The person at the desk tells me that the dentist my husband is coming to see is not in today. She then goes on to tell me that he decided that he does not want to come in on Saturdays anymore! Are you kidding me!!!! So, then I mention that no one called to let us know this. She apoligizes. Which would have been acceptable if this was not the THIRD time that something like this happened.

I just have to add the first time was my first visit to their office, 4 days after my mother died and you can just imagine all that I had on my plate at that moment...I went in and they told me the hygenist left for the day. They don't know why and they don't know why someone did not call me.

So, I said all that to say...Can anyone recommend a good dentist and a good periodontist?

I love my dentist, located in Stony Brook. Is that a good location for you?

Sorry forgot to add, I am looking for someone in the Nassau area. Preferbaly Mineola, Garden City...around that area.

I've been looking for a new dentist and my friend just recommended hers. I haven't tried it out yet, but she loves him. His name is Saeed Epakchi and he has an office in Hicksville and Plainview. She just had one phone number though, and I think it was for the Hicksville office. FM if you would like the number.

I go to Dr. George Sheehan in Garden City, and he is amazing! He is always so accomadating, he even took me in yesterday for an emergency appointment on a Friday when I was desperate an in pain with no problem at all! His office staff are the nicest ladies ever, they go out of thier way to help you and even called to make the appointment for me for the oral surgeon i needed. He is located at 901 Stewart Ave in Garden City, not sure of the phone number though, FM me if you want it and I will look it up for you.

I love their whole practice. He is so nice and accommodating.

I've been a patient for years and before that the dentist he bought the practice from. The staff has expanded but the old timers are still there and are really excellent in what they do.

Is this dentist in Mineola? I've been going to Dr. Wolfert in Mineola for a few years now and really like him.

My dentist is in Westbury. I have been going to him for years . His name is Dr. Brown and his number is 997 - 3636
