hysterosalpingogram (having "tubes checked")

so today i had the hysterosalpingogram test where they put iodine or dye or something into my uterine tubes to see if there are any blockages. The radiologist was able to see one tube is totally clear. But he was unable to see the other tube at all. The dye didn't go in. He said maybe the tube siezed up, and that he can only say that he has no information at all on the tube. He said all you need is one tube to get pregnant anyway, but it's not comforting knowing the other tube is acting out or something unknown.

Has anyone ever had any experience with this? TIA

I had the HSG done but my tubes were clear. If I were in your position I would see if I could do the test again because the results were inconclusive.

i would follow up with your RE or Obgyn and ask for thier recommendation - sounds like a retest might be good

the same thing happened with me. i had a repeat and it confirmed that my one tube was blocked. it could either be a spasm or a blockage. if it was me, i would want to know either way
