"Hurry up and get pregnant"
So my Dad called me yesterday and this was the conversation:
Me: "Hi. I'm really busy and about to get on a conference call. Is it important?"
Him: "Are you pregnant yet?"
Me: "No, why?"
Him: "Well then hurry up and get pregnant!"
Ok Dad! Seriously, this made me so mad. He knows how badly we want a baby. Like I haven't been trying. I hate how everyone thinks you can snap your fingers and be PG.
Ok, vent over...

OMG I can't believe this. DH & I were talking recently about how everyone says this to us in one way or another. They obviously do not know what is involved... Sorry honey

None of my family knows I'm TTC yet, but they're constantly making comments on how they're waiting for grandkids. I want to scream out "Don't you think I've been trying!?!?"

ugh, I hate that! I haven't told anyone we're trying because I don't want to hear every month..sooo, did it work? But when people say hurry up, what are you waiting for, it makes me so upset!

I used to get that at family gatherings and I would shout WE'RE WORKING ON IT! and then they would stop. People dont' like getting yelled at apparently so if you do it enough, it tends to be effective.

Dont worry I get the same thing too from my parents... they ask us why we arent pregnant and my mother keeps reminding me that my clock is ticking

I don't think guys understand at ALL how hard it is to get pregnant. But I do find it cute that he's so excited to be a grandpa!

I agree....... I am going off the pill soon and DH is convinced I will be pregnant within the first 3 months!!!

it is very frustrating to hear everyone's comments and demands that you should just be pregnant already... because you know, we weren't already aggravated enough that we have been ttc for however long and it just hasn't yet happened for us!
but, it is kind of funny...
reading all of your posts just proves that we are all going through the EXACT same things with our families and friends!! and we love them, but will these people just shut up already??!!!

Exactly! I knew if anyone would understand, it would be you girls! The funny thing is just a few months ago my Dad didn't want us to have kids yet because he was worried I'll stop working and what not. Then a family friend had a baby 4 months ago and ever since then he's pushing for grandkids.
