HUGE RELIEF!!!
The test results for Down Syndrome came back negative!!! Now we just have to wait for the rest of the results but Down Syndrome was the highest risk, as it turns out we were low risk for the others, my OB just didn't clearly explain that when I spoke to her initially... so I feel MUCH MUCH better about everything.
Thank you all so much for you good vibes and prayers!!
And it's a BOY!!!  I should probably start learning something about sports...

HUGE RELIEF!!!
Congrats on the great FISH results. I hate that so many girls have to go through the stress you did because of the NT scan.
Congrats on a boy!!!!! I am having so much fun with mine and no sports yet so you have plenty of time!!!!!!

Congrats on the good news. Can I ask a question though. I just got back from the doctor and the downs ratio for my age group is 1/600 but my level was 1/270. He said this was in the normal Range it they want to do more blood work. Is this what happened with you?

They did the NT scan and said everything LOOKED good but after I got the blood work back my ratio was 1/13, it was 1/432 for my age group not taking into consideration the blood work. The doctor never recommended more blood work at that point just the CVS. If you have an option of more blood work before having to go for a CVS to rule it out, do it.

I'm so happy about your FISH results Gina !! Even though our NT scan came back great because of my age & personal reasons we did the amino and was offered FISH testing. I'm so glad we did because the results are the most accurate and also came back the fastest. The wait was still torture for us so I know how you were feeling.

Thank you, Roz!!! We took family history into account too and even though I'm not over 35 the doctor said "you're close" (thanks  ). I am glad we did it too and that it's behind us. Not sure I'd be able to do it again...
They called with the results when I was on the train, DH was in another car so I called him with the news... Not the ideal way to find out but he got quiet and then said "oh, wow, cool." And when we got off at our stop he had a huge smile on his face and asked what "his boy" wanted for dinner  He's definitely excited.
Darwin has been super protective of me. He's not Huxley's biggest fan to begin with but now he growls and barks at Huxley if he comes near me. He seems to be more stressed out about this all than I am. It's just weird how he seems to know Huxley shouldn't be jumping up on me. I don't know if it's normal that he's doing this but we haven't quite figured out how to get him to stop. Huxley is a mess so Im not sure ANYTHING registers with him.
