HSG ASTHMA
Hello - First time user to this awesome site. Well I am just beginning to take action on having difficulty conceiving. I just made an HSG appmt (which I dreaded making) Please let me know what happens during this test (I have no idea what to expect and can only imagine) and secondly, I was rejected from Great Neck Radiology b/c I have mild asthma which is so under control. I am also having a hard time understanding this, since I am not allergic to shell fish or anything,,, now they just made me more paranoid. - - any feedback will be so greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much - - PJAY

Re: HSG ASTHMA
From what I understand an HSG is relatively painless. Most women take an advil or tylenol an hour or so before hand and are just fine. As for one place rejecting you b/c of asthma, don't let it freak you out, some places are just like that.

Re: HSG ASTHMA
yes, i know i shouldnt let it freak me out, but I am anxious as it is before they made me all scared about the whole asthma thing. I am sure it will be fine. I guess I just wanted to see if anyone had this experience. Does anyone know if u find the HSG results right away? or do u have to wait a while? anyone get it done at North Shore Manhasset? Thanks for your help!

Re: HSG ASTHMA
I have to go for an HSG as well and am scared. It sounds painful, but hopefully it is not. I will be going to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip. I was told the results come up pretty instantly, which I guess is good. Just wondering if we will feel any affects the next day, hoping it's just temporary.
I never heard of asthma affecting it, but I'm sure there are plenty of places that will do it for you. Best of luck.

Re: HSG ASTHMA
Hi dreambaby - I am scared too, I've been putting it off for over a year and said today (as i just got my period) I have to just suck it up and get it done, I am sure it beats crying and being depressed every 28 days. SO i had to give in plus we arent getting any younger. I am getting it done as NSUH Manhasset. Its just crazy b/c some women say it was nothing while others say it was painful as hell so who knows what to expect. when/where do u plan on getting it done? Hpw long have u guys been trying? Who is your gyno? fertility dr? Since we are both in the beginning phases of this long sucky rd, maybe we can help each other out!!
