Re: HSG
No, My DH didn't go with me. I took my mom with me only for support, but I drove home afterwards. I would highly recommend taking 2-3 advils 1 hour before the procedure. Good Luck!

am I going to be useless afterwards?

I dont think that you'll be useless afterwards though it can hurt a bit. But as soon as it was over the pain was gone and I had no problem going about my day. But I agree 1000% percent with the ladies who said to take advil an hour before. It will help. Good luck!!!

Re: HSG
DH came with me because I was a nervous wreck about it. But it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. As for afterwards, I had taken the day off only because of the time of my appt.
Good luck!!

Re: HSG
My DH came, but really, it was pointless - the procedure literally took 5 minutes and I wasn't even aware when they had finished, that's how little I felt. Take some motrin and you'll be fine!

Re: HSG
I don't know what your doctor will do, but at mine, she actually showed me the xray right afterwards so I could see the dye coming out of both tubes. I would presume if there WERE issues she would have said something right then and there.
As for afterwards, I went straight to work - you'll have a little bit of "leakage" and some minor cramping, but if that doesn't bother you too much, you should be good to go back to work.

I took off a full day of work and got to see the actual test and doc said everything looked good right away.

Re: HSG
I've decided to work from home Thursday and log on after my test. I think DH may go with and he may go get his test done.
