The american way to pronounce it is
A- bree
( like the letter A then bree)
I would like to pronounce it AH-bree.
Technically, in italian, the letter "a" is pronounced "ah"
Im happy to see some of you would automatically say that bc I was sure everyone would go with A-bree.
Another question: Since I want it to be said Ahh-bree, would you spell it Abri or
Ahbri
Ahbree
Ahbrey
I was thinking with the H in there, there is no way to say it wrong.

I would've pronounced it like Aubrey because it's such a popular name now so I would've just thought it's an alternate spelling for it. She'd probably just have to tell people how to say her name for a while until people know (of course strangers would still mispronounce it). Like the people whose names are Andrea but pronounced Ahndrea.
If you put the H in it would be pronounced correctly more often. But no one would ever spell it right when they heard it either way, if that's a concern to you.
Our last name always has to be spelled, so I don't know how big a deal it is to spell your first name all the time. DD has to spell hers all the time since Megan can be spelled so many ways. It is what it is.
If you love the name, you should use it!

Honestly, i think both Ahbri and Abri would constantly be mis-spelled as Sandra mentioned. With the 'h' would mean it's pronounced correct more often, though.
I usually see the name spelled Aubrey. Would you consider that spelling instead?
