Kimbalina- those baskets are so cute. You are such a thoughtful big sister! Chat Icon

We don't really celebrate Easter, just dinner at MIL's place. Chat Icon

Re: How were all the childless holidays?

it was great! I went to a beautiful service on Good Friday and a very nice mass on Easter morning with my parents.

Saturday was spent cleaning and then a "double date" with our friends.

Sunday EVERYONE came over to my mother's house so I had a great time with my neices and nephews. Sunday evening we went over to DH's brother's house to see his family.

Kim - love the car and the basket!!

We had my MIL, her boyfriend, BIL, SIL and the kids over for dinner - and then we played Wii, it was fun and the kids had a good time.

And a bonus - my dogs were exhausted from playing with the kids all day and no one got up to bark at anything last night!

Thanks everyone!! I like to have fun on the holidays.
My sisters basket had money and candy in the "eggs" and also nail polish and good stuff like that.

It was a great weekend

We had my in-laws, parents and grandparents over for dinner yesterday.

Harry and I went to the movies on Friday night to see Fast & Furious. I really liked the movie but then again I love Vin Diesel!! Chat Icon

Saturday night we went to a FANTASTIC BBQ resturant in Patchogue called BobbieQ's. the ribs were fantastic! I highly recommend it.

Easter was also my birthday... so my DH, my parents, and I went out to dinner at La Marmite. Then we came back to our house for cake. :D

I had a relaxing morning. DH got me the Wii fit for my birthday, so we spent the morning playing around with that. Chat Icon

I did get to see one of my nieces and nephews the day before Easter. We had an egg hunt and dinner at my parents' house. It was a lot of fun!

We went to my sister's house and I bought my nephews gift cards to Toys R Us.. I just don't have the patience or the maternal instincts to make baskets.. Chat Icon

But it was a great day bc we got to take my grandmother out of the nursing home to eat with us!!

that sounds nice!
i dont do baskets either, they all have to split one big egg.

all of this easter being a second christmas thing is not something i am used to bc i didnt even grow up with the easter bunny/baskets/egg hunts so getting $100 worth of gifts for a 10 year old is just foreign to me!

Re: How were all the childless holidays?

Busy busy... Got together with friends on Saturday, put some of our new furniture together.

My sister called me Saturday afternoon to invite me to her house for Easter. Remember I said I always get the last minute invites? It continues. Chat Icon

We went to see the in laws on Sunday, finished putting together furniture. All things considered, it was a nice weekend. Chat Icon

I get annoyed about this too! I only give my niece and nephew an outfit each and a book or something b/c I don't want them to eat candy!
