Re: how to switch peds?
I only switched b.c we moved. They knew we were so I asked for his immunization records. When we found a Ped locally I gave them the copy of the records and then I believe they called the old office where they faxed over his records. Just be honest and tell them you're leaving. First ask for the copy b.c your allowed then just call and find a new office. When you do ask them what they need from the last Ped office. Good luck.

how to switch peds?
We did this just recently, after being with the ped for 8 years.
I found a couple of pediatricians I heard good things about, eliminated one based on the rude receptionist I got on the phone. I then made appointments with the two others. The first one I didn't like the feel of the office. The second one seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. I asked to fill oout the paperwork to switch, and they took care of everyhting as far as records and whatnot.
Good luck!!
