How to handle a bad online review
If you get a negative online review, how is the best approach to ask someone to remove it? I am an etsy seller and someone wrote some negative feedback. They said the custom product I delivered (a bracelet) caused her hand to go numb (was it too tight? It is a bangle bracelet, so I doubt it).
Anyway, should I: a. Ignore it and hope that other good reviews outweigh the negative one.
b. contact the buyer and request her to remove it (offer a refund?)
c. Respond to the negative review? I feel like doing this gives weight/merit to her negative post, though.
UGH!!

How to handle a bad online review
I would never ask someone to remove a bad review. My DH has an online business and sells on eBay and other places and never once has asked to have anything removed.
IMO you take the good with the bad.

Re: How to handle a bad online review
Did she contact you with any issues before writing the review? If not I would reach out to her and offer a refund if she wants to return it. And address the review on line with the update.

How to handle a bad online review
I buy from etsy alot. I read all the reviews the good the bad and the ugly. If i see there are a few bad reviews but the good out weighs the bad. I usually still purchase from that vendor. Keep the review not everyone will love the product they receive. IF you respond id say im sorry that happened to you. If you contact me maybe i can rectify this issue for you. Thank you for shopping with me, something like that.

How to handle a bad online review
I would reach out to her for further information. If I left a bad review and one that said my wrist went numb I would be very happy the seller contacted me. It shows your care about your customers and your product

Re: How to handle a bad online review
Pay the buyer off (offer refund). Usually buyers are more than happy to remove negative reviews if they get their money back, and if the item is cheap enough just allow them to keep the item.

Re: How to handle a bad online review
I would contact the buyer and see if you can resolve it. Then you can possibly ask her to remove it, or at least respond to it as to what you did to rectify the situation. I wrote a bad review after attempting to contact the seller and her lying to me multiple times. She then asked me to remove it, but I refused. She was shady McGrady. I'm actually dealing with an etsy issue right now. I ordered invitations and they were supposed to ship last week. I still haven't gotten them and I have sent two messages to the seller, with no reply. I'm going to send her one more message warning that I'm going to leave bad feedback if she doesn't reply and get me my invitations,

This is a great idea
But one bad review doesn't turn me off to an etsy seller at all. Its a ratio I look at. Realistically you can't make EVERYONE happy. If I read that review I hate to say this but I would think that person was either too big for the bracelet or just overly picky. Id have dismissed it simply because it was a bangle bracelet. I mean its her fault for not knowing the measurements. I figure there's always unhappy people in the world who seem to just live to post bad reviews. If I see 100% positive too much it makes me wary they are hiding something.
