oh no thats terrible!
same thing happened with Dh when he had to have surgery...but we found out in advance. from what was explained to us (this was an orthopedist, but i think it relates to all types of doctors)...
the doctor is affiliated with a few diff hospitals and each hospital accepts diff insurance (or has diff coverage)...your dr office should have told you in advance and offered you another location.
hopefully i am wrong but i dont think there is anything they can do since its already done. but def call up and see what they say or if they can some how compensate you for part of it
