How soon before an even could I start making chocolate covered pretzels?
I have a lot to make and wanted to start soon but wasn't sure if they would go stale.

I would say about two days before.
Like you, I'd be worried about them going stale.

no way, they last forever!!!
My friend had them as her wedding favor, and had them in a glass jar....I ate my mom's months later and they were still good!!!!!!
