I was nine too and no one told me about it, or if they did, I was in denial that it would happen to me so early. I actually thought I pooped and didn't wipe so good for THREE DAYS!! I kept changing and changing. Finally, I decided I was going to tell my Mom what was going on if it was still there after day 3. I remember running after her car, screaming in the middle of the street "MOM, STOP!!! HELP ME!!! I'M BLEEDING FROM MY CHEE-CHEE!!". My brothers fell over in laughter!!

OMG...that is sooo funny because I too thought that I was not wiping properly too funny

My poor Dad. My mom died when I was 8. I took care of AF for a few days but I was rapidly running out of supplies so I visited the school nurse. She asked if I wanted her to tell my Dad but I said no I will. I figured he'd appreciate me telling him. He was on head set and on a conference line when I called him at NY TEL where he worked. I had to ask him to get off the line. When I told him he had no idea what to say (he only had brothers growing up and comes from the generation where men and women didn't talk of such) and I think he said, "Congratulations, should we go out for ice-cream?" When I was younger we always went to Friendly's for special occassions My poor Dad, never thought he'd have to handle that one by himself.

I was 9 1/2 and I also had doubts about my personal hygiene.
Funny, it must be something about how young and naive we were.
