How old was DS when your first had his hair cut?

DS is only 8mo but his his hair is really long. I've already trimmed his bangs twice (very badly, I might add) becuase they were past his eyes. I am pretty awful at cutting hair but I feel like he's so young to take to a salon.

If anyone has any recommendations on where to get a good cut for a baby, I'm all ears!

DS 1 was 10 months. He has thick straight hair and it was unruly. DS 2 was a little older I believe - he has fine straight hair.

My first, we took on his first bday. He probably could have stood to have it cut a month or so earlier, but I thought it would be a fun special thing to do for his bday. My younger son is 22 months now and hasn't had one yet. His hair is so different. He is just now getting to the point where his hair is a little long on the sides. We will definitely take him in the next month or two.

3 years, 3months old!!! He was a baldy for so long!!!! He just had a trim at that time... He just has his 2nd haircut last week and he will be 4 next week..

I took him to Kidz Kutz this last time around in the Sunrise Mall..They were great.

3 months old. His hair went past his eyes at that point. As for a real hair cut I waited for a while and he had such long hair. I think he was about 6 months old for his first all over hair cut.

Day before his first birthday. I just took him to my salon.

2 years. He had gorgeous curly hair, but as he got older and the humidity dropped toward the end of the summer it would become long and messy.

Almost 6 months but he needed one the day he was born lol

We took DS on his first birthday but he really could have used one a lot earlier. He has a lot of hair.

DS was 6 or 7 months when we took him to the salon the 1st time; his hair grows very quickly and trimming at home wasn't enough (and I stink at it!). We took him to Zippity Doo's. I'd heard mixed reviews but we took him two or three times & had a pretty good experience each time; they cut his hair nicely. Now he goes to DH's barber which is much cheaper but when they're so little I feel it's worth it to pay more at a place which caters to kids. Good luck! :)

We did it at 11 months but he has a lot of hair so I trimmed it a few times before. We didn't go to an actual place though, we ended up using this lady that used to cut DH's hair when he was little, who is a friend of MIL.

A week after his 1st bday! I had trimmed it a couple of times before his real haircut.

DS was about 9-11 months. One of my DH's friends cuts his hair for us. DS sits for him. I know if I took him some place he wouldn't! LOL!

When he turned 1, and now I just cut it myself.

DS is 20 months and hasn't had one yet. But we will be going in the next week or two. He had no hair until 15 months or so, and since then it's grown pretty fast considering.
