Re: How old can they play with BLOCKS?

DS started playing with block at around 11 months.

We just bought him foam blocks for him birthday. It says 3 yrs on the container, but we only take them out when we are sitting with him.

I bought the wooden alphabet blocks around 9 or 10 months and ds loves them!! Just don't get the smaller ones, I bought the ones that are like 2x2 sized, they are perfect!

I bought the big plastic bag of mega lego blocks. The bag says 1 year plus. I don't remember when I bought them but he first started playing with them by pulling them out of the bag. Then he started pulling them apart. These past few months he's been able to put them together.

Re: How old can they play with BLOCKS?

we bought ds the rubber squeaky blocks back in june for vacation.. so he was 9 months old.. they are great because he can chew on them or hit them on his head and they just bounce off because they are like all other rubber squeak toys (dh says they are like dog toys)... at first he didnt stack, but loved crawling and making towers fall.. it actually motivated him to crawl more... at about 11 months he started actually stacking

Re: How old can they play with BLOCKS?

DS loves blocks! He started playing with them at 7 months. Well, more like chewing on them and smashing them into each other. He entertains himself for a long time. He has ones that look like Big Legos and are soft. He also has ones that are like Boxes (hard to explain). I bought him wooden ones for Christmas.
