How often do you go out?--a night out?

Without the baby? One of DH and I's promise to each other while we were still even discussing babies was that we would still go out together and also with our friends...

In the beginning, it was a joke...I hardly ever went out and he actually went away for two days to Chicago--grrrrrrrrrr. Now that Bella is asleep by 8 pm for the night I have to say I have really been making the effort (especially now that it's summertime). Dh and I have switched off almost every weekend since Memorial Day and we have gone out a couple of times together and plan on going out this weekend (it's obviously much easier for one of us to stay home)

How often do you go for a night out???

Not often enough-but it's hard-I work nights and the nights i'm off I like to stay home and relax. My hubby works till 7 M-F so he only gets to see Jenna for like an hour before bedtime so he likes to spend weekend nights with her since he is home.

Plus-all of our friends have kids, newborns, etcc so even if we wanted to go out-we have noone else who wants to go with us-lol!

2 nights a week. Jack is asleep by 7 so my neighbor's daughter comes over and pops in a movie and watches Jack sleep.

I rarely go out b/c it's been so hot and I don't have a good sunshade for the back window in my car. DH and I went out once for dinner and I couldn't wait to come back home to DS. I really want to try and take him out more so I can become more comfortable with transporting him to and from the car to shopping cart, stroller, etc.

DH and I are going out just the two of us tonight cuz it's my birthday!!!!!! I dont know the last time we went out just us two. We have each gone out separately while the other watched dd but I cant remember when we last went out just us.

By ourselves not very often but it's not really a priority for us. It's been a bit more now that Miranda goes to bed and sleeps through the night. I feel more comfortable with my mom watching her.

Mostly though we do things with our friends who also have kids like BBQ's and things like that. DH doesn't get to spend a lot of time with Miranda during the week so we try to get quality family time on the weekends.

Couple of times a month....DH and I will go out to eat, if Nate is at his parents house.

Twice a month my GF will come pick me up around 9 or 10pm after DH gets back from the library to go for drinks.

DH will do the same with his friends... After he's done studying, they'll meet somewhere for drinks.

Practically never since DD was born- We went out to dinner once and my MIL watched her but this was back in Feb. We don't have anyone to really watch her except for MIL who already does that M-F. She has offered to come sit at night so we can go out but by the time the sun sets we're just sooooo exhausted from the day that Sat nights is the only night we are able to relax and watch TV so we choose to stay in.

I am hoping as she gets older and obviously we get more comfortable leaving her we will try to establish at minimum a (1) night/month just for DH & I to do something.

I have yet to go out on my own since DD has been born- just not ready to do this. Hopefully soon

Maybe once every other week. We will usually ask my sister to watch Katie so we can go out for dinner - we're gone about 3-4 hours.

My Mom is here now visiting so we went out this past weekend on saturday night and stayed out pretty late...only because my Mom is staying with us.

We go out separately a lot - together - not so often.

When we do go out together, one of my girlfriends will watch DD.

Not as often as I would like. My husband works alot too so our schedules are usually the problem. We did go out a few weekends ago and my in laws watched the girls. It was nice to reconnect again.

We're on vacation next week so hopefully we'll get a sitter and go out. Lately, we've been bringing the kids with us to dinner and such. We've also been eating later when the girls are asleep so we can have "our time".

We only go out when we have a wedding or a birthday.

pretty much never. I think since Jake was born (he is now 20 months) we have been out together maybe 3 times. We do go out for guys/girls nights mabye once every other month.

I think we've gone out twice in 17 months.

We have been going out by ourselves since Jacob was 2 weeks old... I had no problem leaving him with my mother, MIL, or FILl for the hour we would go out to grab a quick bite or 2 hours to see a movie..

very rarely. But, I am putting an end to that. Now I make sure my sister will watch them & then tell hubby that we are going out Sat I got Joanne to watvh the kids.

of course I only did this once!

ummmm.. never. We went out once back in april for dinner for an hr or so, but that was about it. Jacob is very high maintenace, and he wakes so much that it isnt worth it. I trust my best friend with him but for some reason i cant bring myself to actually leave for an evening. We have made the plans but then i always find a reason not to go. I've been letting my DH go out without me. I know its bad, but I just cant do it right now. He is such a bad sleeper that leaving him at my MIL is totally out. And i always fear that he will wake while i am gone and my friend wont be able to put him back to sleep. One of these years i'll get to remember what a "drink" tastes like, and what a "bar" looks like again!!!

I don't usually go out without my DH but I'd say that for the past 6 months we've averaged 1-2/month on just going out with the two of us --for movies, dinner, whatever.

Well lets see Sammy is 4 and Sara is 5 montsh so in the past 4 year nmaybe 10x. That is soo sad. My 4 year old doesnt like when we go out but I think we will start because Sara is so easy

we just went out for the 1st time in 4 months and that was only because we had a wedding to go to. unfortunately we don't have any family here and i have no one to leave DS with. we really need to find a babysitter.
