How often do you upgrade/replace your phone?

I'm only on my 2nd smartphone, and even though my current one doesn't quite vibrate the way it's supposed to (when it tries to at all), I'm not looking to upgrade it any time soon.

I'm on my second smart phone. I had my first one for about 3 years. I will probably keep this one for the same amount of time - so far I have only had it for a few months.

4-5 years, i'm on my second smartphone just new last year. I usually get a new one only when the battery replacments have to happen oo frequently.

I dont even pay for my phones (work does) but its jus tso much work to switch phones and I like to do a lot of customizations its not worth it to me.

About every 3 years. I think this is my 3rd smart phone and it's 2 years old now. I am starting to notice the battery isn't staying charged like it should, but otherwise, it's totally fine.

OMG I keep them until I absolutely have no choice.
I hate getting new phones. It just aggravates me having to switch everything over, set everything back up the way I like it again, learn the new feautres.

I'm a huge creature of habit. I drive cars into the ground and I drive phones into the ground.

2 phones ago, my phone was so old and bad that the guy at Verizon had a very hard time getting it to transfer anything over- it took him almost 2 hours. Plus the screen was so dark it was hard to see anything.

This last phone I was having major issues with, had to keep rebooting it, had to pull the battery a lot to reset it, and it was running so slow I could barely type. But i held on longer than I should have because it was the Samsung S4 Mini- and they don't make mini's anymore- and all the phones were too big for me.
I finally had to cave because it was almost unusable. But I went kicking and screaming and still say my new phone- S7- is too big

How often do you get a new phone?

No specific time frame. Pretty much when my phone starts to act up (usually it starts to not hold a charge for more than a couple of hours), and I am due for an upgrade. I am not one to need or want the newest phone. I'd rather keep what I am comfortable with until it becomes more of an annoyance than getting a new phone

not very.
I still have a Galaxy s3 that works fine.

I need a phone, not a mini computer.
Plus, it's still small enough.

as soon as it starts acting up, I get a new one. My last one, the battery would die in 10 minutes. Even when fully charged. I then could only talk on it while it was plugged in. As soon as it was time for the upgrade, I got it. Wound up getting it for nothing - Sweet!

The new 7 is giving me the itch, but my phone right now is ok. The battery is kinda sucky these days but not enough to get something new. I have an upgrade available now.

DH does the leasing with Sprint and got the 7 as soon as it came out.

Another thing I loved about my old phones- that my new one doesn't have - is the removable battery.
If the battery started not holding a charge I didn't have to get a new phone- I would just order a new battery.
Problem solved
They design these phones to fail- so you have to get a new one.
It's such a scam

Every two years when I'm up for an upgrade. Ironically (or purposely done by apple) that's when my phone starts to crap out anyway.

Yearly but I do prepaid and it is cheaper for me to buy the new phone and minutes for the year than to just get the minutes. But my phone is a lesser known model that virtually no one has.

It used to be every 2 years, but now I can upgrade at anytime, so I didn't even have it for a year before I went to the iPhone 7. My DH upgrades every year.

Its been about four years. I don't see the point of upgrading because my phone does what I need and I like the size. I feel like the phone fits my hand but the new phones are too big for my hands.

I have had my galaxy mini since 2012, and LOVE it!!!!
I cant stand these HUGE phones

2 to 3 years, depending on dh..he handles our phones. I am happy with the bare minimum.

It seems it has to be every 2 years but that's because for some reason all my apple phones battery starts to die all the time about a year and half after I get them. I honestly think apple does it on purpose because I have several friends who experience the same thing
