How much would you pay for a sitter that

comes to your house at 6 and takes your kid to school by 8. My dd probabaly wont be up until 715-730 so all they have to do is sit around until then and then need dress (she can do this herself) and walk her to school.
It would probably be 5 days a week but there would be days that my dh can do it.

How I work it out with my babysitter now is I pay a daily rate and on holidays says like colubus day I pay her, but for a week off
( I am a teacher) I dont pay her.

Would you offer $8.00 an hour and only pay for the days they work or a flat rate of say 250-300 a month and pay the that no matter if it was december where there is week off or march where there are no days off. What sounds more appealing if you were looking for job. I am looking for a colllege kid or retiree. TIA

Honestly if my days off were going to be uncertain I wouldn't really be willing to accept an hourly rate, I'd want a flat rate I could count on.

more than likely he would only be taking her once or twice a month.. if that.

If you can afford it... you'd get more interest if you offer a flat rate (and she'll be pleased when you call & say you don't need her).
