How much water does your 8-month-old drink?
Our daycare keeps asking me to bring in a sippy cup so she can drink water during the day because she seems thirsty. I do give her a sippy cup of water here and there at home for practice, and she sips a bit, but I don't give it to her every day and she never seemed thirsty to me. My ped says she doesn't need water because breast milk is 80% water.
All this has me wondering... do you give your 8ish-month-old water everyday? If so, how much?

At that age, I think gave him like 2 ounces max, since he was also breastfed. It was more for practice to drink out of his straw cup.

How much water does your 8-month-old drink?
At that age I was doing the same as you. I offered the sippy but he didn't really get it yet. He maybe got a few sips. He didn't consistently drink water until he was closer to 1. Now at 15m he looooves water and drinks a lot.

basically none. she'll occasionally take a sip or two from the sippy cup but mostly just shoves it away or throws it on the floor. this might be a dumb question, but how does she "seem thirsty"? how do they know? how would I know? lol

none. They really don't need water at that age formula and breast milk have plenty of water. Like previous post said how does an 8 month old seem thirsty?
Is your baby breast Fed or Formula fed?

According to my mother if they recognize a water bottle as something to drink like a bottle and reach for it then they are thirsty. Cuz ya know all babies are born knowing the refreshing goodness of Poland Spring.  
Mine don't "get" what to do with a sippy cup. If its hot out I give them a bottle with water. they dink an oz or less and drop it.
