How much solids do you feed you 6-7 month old and how often?

DS is EBF and is 6.5 months old. We started solids at 6 months and have gone through the cereals, the yellow veggies and some fruits. i just am wondering how much i should be feeding him of each and how many times. i have no clue how much milk he gets bec i only nurse

Did anyone not continue giving cereal?

I make all of DD's food and don't really measure it out. My Dr said to feed her until she didn't want to eat anymore. I'd say at that age she was eating a few Tbsp (maybe 4 or 5) of food twice a day. I only use(d) cereal to thicken purees, only fed them to her separately a handful of times.

I EBF, too, and that's where they get most of their nutrition, so I tried not to worry about the solids too much, just offered them and let her eat what she wanted. That's still how I do it, but now, at nearly 9 months, I'm finally introducing lunch.

Thanks for the response!

I feel like my doctor told us to give too many solids.

He said that he sould have 2 oz cereal, 2 oz milk and 2 oz fruit/ veggie, I feel like that it is too much food and the focus should be more on the breast milk.

Our ped said that between 6-9 months it's just for practice. I try to do it at least once a day, and at the most 3x a day.. I give it to her until she's not interested anymore...

Re: How much solid food for 6-7 month old?

I started DS at 4 months once a day now he is 5 months and he eats twice a day. I plan on doing 3 times a day when he is 6 months.

Example: Breakfast (yogurt)
Lunch (1 veggie or fruit cube)
Dinner (cereal & fruit)

or any of those combinations. right now he only has 1 frozen cube of food. (I make my own)

He is also EBF.
